Transferring photos from camera to computer:

An easy way to remember where you store your zzstar photos is to create a zzstar photo folder.

To do this, go to your desktop and right click on an empty area

Choose “New” slide over to “Folder” Click the folder icon.

Give the newly created folder the name ‘zzstar ”

Acquiring Your Image

There are many ways to acquire images from a camera.

Most cameras now work by connecting the camera to your computer using a USB cord, or by directly inserting the memory chip into your computer.

Attach the cable from your camera or your card reader to the computer.

A box will appear asking you what you would like to do.
Please choose "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer"

Double click on the folder icon if one appears.
Your images will now appear on your screen as "Thumbnails"

• Click on the photo you want to upload. For multiple photos, hold the control button on your keyboard down while you are choosing your images. The photos you chose should now be enclosed in a blue box.
• Go to the "Edit" box and choose "Copy to Folder"
  A "Copy Items" box will appear.
  Scroll down until you see the folder “zzstar photos”
• Click the folder and then click the "Copy" button.
• Your zzstar images will now be in an easily accessible folder.
• Feel free to use any imaging software to edit your photo.

Posting Images

When zzstar says it is time to upload your image click the "Browse" button.

A box will appear asking you where to look.
Go to the folder that your image is stored in.

Click on the first image you want.
Note: In addition to displaying this image, zzstar will also automatically make this image into a thumbnail photo on the search page. (a thumbnail is a smaller version of your photo shown as a preview)

Click the "Open" button.

Now click the "Upload and Preview your photo button"
A transferring photo image box will appear.

Once the image has transferred, you will automatically be taken to the "Preview Photo" page.
You have successfully uploaded your image if you are able to see it.

Troubleshooting

If your image is not visible, chances are it is too large.

You can use MS Paint found on your computer or if you would like to download a free and very easy to use image resizing program please go to the following link.

Once you have downloaded the program:

• Load your photo and select 600X450 as your size choice.
• Save your photo to your zzstar folder which is located on your desktop.
• Now you are ready to upload this newly resized image to zzstar,
• You should now be taken to the "Preview Photo" page where your image will be displayed.

From here, just continue as directed. The process is very easy!
